Introduces New Non-Contact Position Sensing
Solution |
| |
| MINNEAPOLIS,
Minnesota, March 25, 2002
- Honeywell Solid State Electronics Center
announced today the release of the HMR4001
Position Sensor Module - a robust, non-contact,
position sensing solution using saturation
field magnetic sensing. The HMR4001 is designed
for prototypes or as a development tool for
Honeywell magnetoresistive position sensors
(HMC1501 and HMC1512) in the commercial, industrial
or automotive industries. |
| |
| Ideal
uses for the HMR4001 are in linear, angular
or rotary displacement applications such as
valve positioning, shaft displacement, proximity
detection and linear and angular position
detection requiring a high-resolution sensor
module that accurately measures linear or
angular position. |
| |
| In
addition to a 0 to 10 mm magnetic travel range,
the HMR4001 boasts extremely high performance
at 0.05 mm repeatability and 0.2mm accuracy
when measuring linear position. For angular
measurements, the HMR4001 has a measurement
range of ± 90 degrees with 0.1 degrees
accuracy and 0.07 degrees repeatability. To
offer flexibility, the HMR4001 features continuous
pulse width modulation or analog voltage outputs
and operates on a 6-20 volt input dc supply.
The HMR4001 can be used as a stand-alone circuit
board assembly, or purchased with an additional
slide-by magnet assembly for demonstration
purposes. |
